Kizhi is a small island located at the Onega Lake, not far from Petrozavodsk, Karelia Republic. Nowadays it is the open-air museum of Russian wooden architecture. The main architectural landmark of the island is the Transfiguration Church, built of wood with twenty two domes. The other moments create a beautiful and cozy archictectural complex.
